About Freemasonry Continued

The use of terms similar to "The Great Architect of the Universe," "Supreme Being" and "Volume of the Sacred Law" is simply to enable men of different faiths to meet together and address their God without differences of religion obtruding.
Freemasonry is not a means of promoting business or personal interests. This is carefully explained to all candidates as a condition of entry. It must also never be used to protect anyone, especially a fellow freemason, who has behaved unlawfully or dishonestly.

Politics. Freemasonry is not concerned with political matters. Both political and religious discussion is expressly forbidden at meetings.

The organising body of Freemasonry refuses to discuss any opinion, one way or the other, on domestic or foreign State Policy.

The three main principles of Masonic teaching.
Freemasons are specifically taught and expected to follow three great principles, Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth.
Brotherly Love is to endeavour to consider, not only Masons, but also every man as a brother and show respect for the opinions of others by kindness and understanding.
Relief Although it is not a benefit institution for its members or their dependents, Freemasonry has been concerned with the care of orphans, the sick and the aged from its earliest days. This is not only for its own members but also for the community as a whole, both by charitable giving and by voluntary efforts.
Truth is the adherence to the cardinal virtues and to strive to attain truth and high moral standards in life.
The truly extensive list of non-Masonic charities, which are supported bv Freemasonry, is freely available. The amount of relief or charity that a member extends to the communal charity purse is purely voluntary and done privately.
